artist profile

press release
Peter Shelton: gogglelipsandgeogobals for Celebes includes a new series of medium-scale bronze and Fiberglass sculptures that evoke industrial and organic interconnected bodily forms and pods. Shelton has created these new forms in different materials but using the same patterns, to explore the nature of materiality and its associative qualities. Seemingly inflated, the sculptures’ presence is governed by a sense of weight or weightlessness. The sculptures are both free standing and wall-mounted.
